Walt Edwards/Connor Edwards - Bio -

Connor Edwards has played the last two years for the Fountain Valley School in ColoradoSpring, CO. The team plays in the highly-competitive NAPHL and Connor has received several awards for his play at FVS. Next year he will move on to play for Bridgton Academy, Bridgton, ME, an elite all Post-Graduate school to prepare him for college hockey. Connor has been a demonstrator at several USA Hockey Level 1-3 coaching clinics and is excited to teach younger goalies sound fundamentals of the position.

Walt Edwards has coached goalies for over 30 years, from just beginning to the college and professional level. A USA Level 4 certified coach, Walt bring experience from coaching on the ice, from the bench and combines them with his playing experience through college hockey, where he was a First-Team All-American at Colby College. A USA Hockey coaching clinic instructor, helping others enjoy the position of goaltending is one of Walt’s biggest passions.

Chris Smith - Bio - 

Hi my name is Chris I’ve been coaching and working at the pond hockey club for 6 years. I started playing goalie at the age of 18 and absolutely fell in love. I coach all ages, from youth goalies to beer leaguers. 


Skating Coaches

Layne Brougher - Bio - 

Hi my name is Layne Brougher I coach at The Pond Hockey Club. I have been coaching and do private lessons there for 4 years. I coach all ages from 5u up to adults and I can teach anything from power skating to stick handling and shooting. I have loved hockey ever since I first got on the ice and it makes me happy to help kids/adults learn and get better at hockey.


Colin Walt - Bio - 

Colin Walt grew up playing hockey predominantly in the Midwestern United States with organizations based out of Colorado and Nebraska. He has experienced competitive hockey on various teams and levels that travelled the country as far Arizona, California, Minnesota and Michigan. Colin later competed at the collegiate level in the American Collegiate Hockey Association, and is currently a member of the All Marines Ice Hockey Team representing the United States Marine Corps. Colin has also served three years as a certified USA Hockey Official in both Colorado and Virginia, officiating youth hockey from beginners to high school level, giving him a comprehensive understanding of the game. He recently moved to Austin in 2019. Colin is well versed in the game of hockey and works well with both children and adults looking to improve their skills and understanding.
